EXCLUSIVE: Words from the wise tell us to be aware of man. In the last days, perilous times are coming. Do you love yourself? Are you envious? What about boasting in the things you possess? Why is mankind so proud? Then turn around and be blasphemers and disobedient to parents. Why is the human race not saying 'thank you'?

In 2 Timothy Chapter 3, Paul continues to exhort his dearly beloved son in the gospel, Timothy. He writes about the characteristics of the last days. People will be without natural affection, or storge, which is a Greek term meaning natural affection. There will be a lack of strong bonds within families and close friends.

Then, there will be humans who refuse to keep their covenant with God and consistently go back on their word, gloating in their dishonesty and lying about their neighbors, while accusing someone of wrongdoing when they've done nothing wrong.

A lack of control within the soul because there is no fruit of the Spirit, and overly aggressive. There will be forms of godliness, but whoever partakes in those other forms of godliness will deny the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. Now is the time to turn away from those wicked ways. These character traits can be a distraction to the knowledge of the truth.

Paul continues to encourage and reassure Timothy to live God's will. The manner of life and standards that he holds matter. He states, "Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution, but evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. 1 Timothy 4:1 & 2 states, "Now the Spirit speaks expressively, that in the latter times, some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron."
